Flag's clearly not had time to think up an appropriate plan on his quick trip across the country, because what he sets out to do is have his girlfriend blow up the bad guy with a bomb with a timer set for two seconds.
Seriously, who sets a bomb timer to two seconds? There should be a preset to prevent that sh*t. That's guaranteed death for whoever activates it. Maybe he presumed Enchantress was invulnerable, but that's a major leap. Just what was he hoping to achieve?
To make the whole thing worse, we later learn this particular bomb is powerful enough to explode from the flooded tracks below, so there's the added confusion over how Flag thought he was safe just below the explosion.
