Do you know why humans developed machines? Because we're incredibly vulnerable meat sacks that break very easily. We need them to prosper. These guys are pretty much the most powerful beings in the universe - they don't need to build anything and then spend 24 hours warming it up to destroy the world; they can do it now. And if they do have those limits, then why have they not simply made a machine before?
