Eventually it's revealed that the Squad have been sent into downtown Midway as a ruse to rescue Amanda Waller, who has unwittingly been trapped by Enchantress' attack in her war room. That room is situated at the top of the John F. Ostrander Federal Building.

As fans of the comics will be aware that name means a lot. It belongs to the DC veteran responsible for turning Barbara Gordon into Oracle, and for reinventing Suicide Squad from their 1959 debut into the more recognisable shape they are today in 1987.
