The seemingly hand-written style of these HaHas definitely feel like a nod back to the marketing material used ahead of The Dark Knight.

They also seem extremely reminiscent of Grant Morrisons Arkham Asylum: A Serious House On Serious Earth (where the viral marketing campaign for Nolan's film came from).

8. Knuckle Card Suits

Though covered by his glove in most images of Leto, a reveal of the Medicom Joker action figure showed off his knuckle tattoos on his right hand: the four suits of a deck of cards. In traditional tattoo symbolism, that signifies luck, rather than being a more menacing variation like Love/Hate.

So we had a Joker governed by chaos in The Dark Knight, and now we've got one defined by luck (which would somewhat explain the star on his cheek as well). Perhaps he's picked some superstitions up from Two Face?
