A jaw-dropping documentary that's sure to be talked about all year, Flee follows in the footsteps of 2008's Waltz with Bashir by using animation to tell a deeply devastating real-life story in a totally disarming way.

Through a series of interviews, director Jonas Poher Rasmussen depicts the story of a man known only as Amin, an Afghan refugee now living in Denmark who wrestles with both the devastating flight from his home nation and his closeted homosexuality.

Beautifully animated while telling its story with incredible compassion, it's little surprise that Flee has already signed Riz Ahmed and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as both executive producers and voice actors to re-dub the film into English.

Don't be surprised if Flee ends up a triple Oscar nominee in 2022 for Best Documentary, Best Animated Film, and Best International Feature Film - it absolutely deserves all three.

Flee will be distributed by Neon.
