Superman Vs. Batman: 10 Reasons It Isn't A Good Idea Yet

6: Snyder/Goyer

zack-snyder I am not knocking Snyder by including him in this list. I respect Snyder as a Director when most critics seem to just bash anything he does. Without veering too far into his filmography I will state that I personally enjoyed Man of Steel and Goyer€™s script that came along with it. They are no Joss Whedon though; he is one of the utmost important reasons The Avengers worked. Joss Whedon is a self-confessed nerd with unbridled passion for the source material. On top of that he was THE man for conjoined superhero universes knowing exactly how something so gargantuan in scope should be approached. If you really to want to inject some enthusiasm into me, get Nolan, Whedon, or someone else with the history and credentials that says they are the right person for the job. Whedon knows how to write banter between major characters and direct action. Snyder and Goyer respectfully seem in over their heads. Watchmen is similar in spirit to a project like this but to watch a complete and excellent version of it you need over 3 hours of free time or patience. I will reserve my judgment for 2015 though.
