Terminator Genisys: 10 Iconic Moments It Must Revisit
9. Judgment Day
Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines isnt as bad a film as some of its detractors might suggest, but it never threatens to achieve greatness and frequently finds even being good to be a little out of reach. However, one thing it did have going in its favour was the opportunity to fill in some of the blanks in the mythology and provide glimpses of Judgment Day as it occurred. Terminator 2 features a dream sequence in which Sarah Connor watches on helpless as the first nuclear strikes signal the beginning of the end, and its sequel shows the synchronised nuclear strikes initiated by Skynet in bookend scenes. The Terminator Genisys trailer includes an almost identical shot of Earth from outer space as missiles criss-cross the globe and claim billions of lives, so its clear that Judgment Day will be depicted in the film. What isn't clear as yet is whether the scene is a flashback/forward, a dream sequence or forms part of the actual narrative, but it wouldnt be a Terminator film without that fateful day showing up in some form or other.
I watch movies and I watch sport. I also watch movies about sport, and if there were a sport about movies I'd watch that too. The internet was the closest thing I could find.
