Terminator Genisys: 10 Iconic Moments It Must Revisit
5. Assault On Cyberdyne
Sarah Connor telling Reese We can stop Judgment Day from happening can only mean one thing: the new team are gearing up for another assault on Cyberdyne Systems. Anyone even vaguely familiar with Terminator folklore will be aware that Cyberdyne is the tech corporation responsible for developing the Skynet network of supercomputers, which brings about the end of civilisation as we know it when the computers become self aware. A good chunk of the T2 plot revolves around Arnie, Linda Hamiltons Sarah and Edward Furlongs John Connor plotting and executing an assault on Cyberdyne in an attempt to prevent Judgment Day from occurring, and Terminator 3 follows suit. In Rise Of The Machines, John Connor, this time played by Nick Stahl, and Claire Danes Kate Brewster head for Crystal Peak, a military base which they believe contains Skynets system core, to try and stop the network from going live. So here we go again in Terminator Genisys, although details are still fairly scarce at this point. Terminator Salvation features a Skynet base in San Francisco, and with an action set piece taking place on the Golden Gate Bridge it's no secret that this city will feature in the new instalment. As the new trailer shows Sarah and Reese tooling up and also includes a shot of a short-circuiting wall of computer screens, there is some indication of what will happen, even if the when remains a mystery for the timebeing.
I watch movies and I watch sport. I also watch movies about sport, and if there were a sport about movies I'd watch that too. The internet was the closest thing I could find.
