Terminator Genisys: 10 Iconic Moments It Must Revisit
4. Arnie To The Rescue
When Arnold Schwarzenegger stepped down from his role as Governor of California in 2011, he immediately sought a return to movie screens and lined up a number of projects to reignite his Hollywood career. Easier said than done as it turns out: five films into his comeback The Expendables 2 is the closest hes come to a hit, so the Governators falling back on some old favourites in the hope of rediscovering his box office mojo. Its not a Terminator film without Arnies T-800 somewhere in the mix, and this time around there will be an ageing version to match Schwarzeneggers advanced years, as well as an appearance by the original model courtesy of some CGI de-ageing. Judging by the welcome party he has in store, it doesnt look like things go so well for the younger model, but the older version will likely prove pivotal to the plot, once again taking to the streets on a badass motorcycle. T2 features a superb action set piece in the drainage canals of L.A., and theyre stepping it up this time by using San Franciscos iconic Golden gate Bridge as the setting for what promises to be a key sequence. Theyll have to go some to match the pace and drama of the T-1000s relentless pursuit of John Connor, but at the very least its a satisfying nod to a classic Terminator moment.
I watch movies and I watch sport. I also watch movies about sport, and if there were a sport about movies I'd watch that too. The internet was the closest thing I could find.
