The Batman: 10 Characters Matt Damon Could Play For Affleck

3. Hush

It is surely only a matter of time before someone bites the bullet and brings Hush to the big screen. He's one of the very top level of Batman villains in fan circles, and is perpetually picked out for fan wishlists of who they'd like to see in Batman movies. And it's not accidental: he's a compelling figure with a great backstory, great machinations and an intriguing dynamic with Bruce Wayne himself.

In many ways, Hush is both the perfect villain for Matt Damon and for Affleck's Batman. For Damon, it represents a chance to recapture the charismatic darkness of his turn in The Departed (another role defined by an irresistible parallel with the hero), and a chance to really have some fun.

And for The Batman, it suits the agenda to be new, to have more personal stakes for Affleck's Dark Knight and also allows for more classic villains to join the fray (as has been rumoured for a good while now). Plus with The Joker and the other top level villains presumably already incarcerated before his retirement, having someone like Hush appear to reawaken old wounds and offer something we haven't seen on screen so far, would be the perfect answer.
