The Best Moment Of Every James Bond Film - Ranked

15. Live And Let Die: The Boat Chase

Daniel Craig Casino Royale
United Artists

Chase scenes are a vital part of James Bond's franchise DNA and Live and Let Die, the dated but highly fun first outing for Roger Moore's James Bond, has a particularly great one to its name.

The boat chase scene in the second half of Live and Let Die is completely awesome and features many insane boat jump stunts. It goes on for a long time and is even inter-spliced with various interludes on the riverbank, but it never becomes boring and only seems to get better and better as it goes along.

The presence of Sheriff Pepper, who would (inexplicably) be brought back for The Man with the Golden Gun, is unfortunate and drags this sequence down a tiny bit, but other than that this is classic Bond action and definitely the best part of the film.

The scene immediately before it - where Bond is left stranded in a pool of crocodiles - is great too and, in terms of the best scenes in the film, a close second to this.
