The Fate Of Every Member Of The Warriors

1. Swan

Taking over from Cleon as Warlord after his untimely death, Swan successfully leads The Warriors back to Coney Island, beating Luther of The Rogues in a one-on-one. He does this by throwing a switchblade at his foe, the pointy end landing inside his wrist. Then, as the credits roll, Swan walks down the beach with his gang members and Mercy, the woman he begins a romantic relationship with earlier that night. It looks to be a promising ending.

Catching up with Swan in Jailbreak, we find that he's still Warlord but that he may have neglected one or two duties. Leaving Ajax in jail is a wrong that he aims to turn right. One of the reasons for his slacking off may be that Mercy is no longer in his life on a regular basis. Swan still visits but she has a new man now, one whom she does not love but keeps her financially secure. It is a far cry from the life of regular rumbles that she was used to with Swan.

With the help of Masai and the Gramercy Riffs, Swan and The Warriors spring Ajax out of jail. The plan working so well makes Swan believe that Cyrus's dream of united gangs could still work. Masai begs to differ, leaving Swan puzzled at the ominous way he disagrees. With this mission a success, he uses the momentum to ask Mercy to come back to Coney Island.

Mercy, seeing his cuts and bruises, initially refuses before eventually travelling to Coney and finding him later. Here they will presumably give things another try. And that's where we left off.
