The Lego Batman Movie: 10 Reasons It's Better Than Snyder's Batman
1. It Even Does A Better Job With Superman
The Lego Batman Movie may be primarily concerned with the title hero, but it also features Superman in a few quick scenes and seems to flirt with the idea of a Lego Superman movie in the future.
BvS' Superman is basically a mopey a**hole for most of the movie and only has 43 lines of dialogue despite being a main character.
Lego Superman basically just has an extended cameo role here, but his clean-cut, good 'ol boy stereotype is exaggerated to an hilarious degree to the point that he comes off as outrageously arrogant.
Oh, and he doesn't die in this movie, which is a plus. BvS turned him into a miserable bore and then gave him an unearned death that not even the most casual viewer surely believed would be permanent.
Lego Superman is meanwhile terrifically entertaining even if he functions as pure caricature, and of course, there's always a potential solo movie in the future.
