The Lord Of The Rings: Ranking Every Major Villain From Worst To Best
6. Lurtz
Though Lurtz was not a creation of Tolkien, his menacing appearance and fierce brutality made him an unforgettable villain.
Tasked with leading a group of Uruk-hai whose objective was to hunt down the Fellowship, Lurtz played a significant role in the closing stages of the first movie.
As Boromir fought to defend Merry and Pippin from the onslaught of Uruk-hai, Lurtz impaled him with several arrows to the torso.
However, before he could finish off his victim, he was then challenged by Aragorn. The intense duel between these two skilled fighters showcased Lurtz’s remarkable strength and rage. Indeed, he nearly managed to oust Aragorn multiple times during their short but ferocious battle.
Despite not having any dialogue or much screen time, therefore, Lurtz proved to be a great adversary for Aragorn and Boromir.
