Daredevil once had a feature film, which nobody in the fan community likes to discuss, so it was long believed that translating the character to film or television was all but impossible. Netflix proved the world wrong with the release of the first season in April 2015.

The series was an immediate success, and Charlie Cox's performance outshone Ben Affleck's film portrayal by a mile. The show wasn't good just because of Cox; he had an amazing supporting cast, which included Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Franklin "Foggy" Nelson, Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple, and Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin.

A lot of talent went into making the series one of the best superhero shows ever made, but it all came crashing down on November 29, 2018, when Netflix canceled it without reason or regard for the fans. Daredevil was hugely successful, so its cancellation came as a shock, and the rest of the shows followed soon after.

The cancelation came only a month after the third season was released on the platform, and because of the agreement between Netflix and Disney, Daredevil won't be back in the MCU until November 29, 2020, making him the first character who could make the transition from Netflix to Disney's MCU.
