6. He Has Dealt With Thor In The Past

Thanks to All-Black gifting Gorr the God Butcher immortality and unnatural long life, the villain has seen more than his fair share of years. Way back in 893 AD, he first crossed paths with the God of Thunder on Midgard.

The young, naïve Thor however, was truly at first no match for Gorr. When first they clashed, Thor was almost killed to the point that he was in a coma for seven whole days. After he subsequently followed Gorr back to his lair looking for revenge, he was once again bested by the villain.

In Gorr’s cave, Thor was held and tortured by the power of All-Black for seventeen days, while keeping the location of Asgard to himself. Ultimately the Asgardian prince was saved by the Norse Vikings that followed him, as they ambushed Gorr and allowed Thor to escape his chains.

While Gorr was dealing with Thor's Midgard followers, the God of Thunder himself was able to sneak up behind his captor and cleave his arm clean off at the shoulder. Though he thought his enemy was dead, their rivalry was far from over...
