Thor: Ragnarok - 10 Big Implications Of Marvel Adding Hulk

8. An Early Threat For Thanos To Deal With?

The big question, of course, is why Thor would need Hulk specifically to deal with a problem that relates to his home world, when he had consciously left the rest of the Avengers on Earth to go and handle his business. The answer probably lies in the fact that Thor has two agendas. He's not only fixing the situation on Asgard and dethroning Loki, there's also the small matter of his discovery that Thanos is on the trail of the Infinity Stones - one of which is being protected on Asgard, under the watchful eye of a megalomaniac. Thor has already expressed his desire to find out more about the Stones, which will likely put him on a direct collision course with the Mad Titan. Hopefully this should give us an opportunity to see Thanos' powers in action for the first time properly, rather than seeing him perched on his throne moving chess pieces around. It would make sense that Thor would get the biggest weapon available to him (who isn't involved in Civil War, since Vision would probably have come in handy too) to try and deal with Thanos himself when he comes after the Tesseract. Why wouldn't he imagine that a demi-God and an impervious monster could handle him? And might this be the shocking show of power the MCU needs from Thanos heading into Infinity War? Could Thor and Hulk actually end up dead?!
