Thor: Ragnarok - 10 Big Implications Of Marvel Adding Hulk
9. It Makes Everyone Look Like They Know What To Do With Hulk
Announcing anything with Hulk in is a smart move: in the wake of Mark Ruffalo's excellent performances so far and the apparent availability of the movie rights, there's been a tidal wave of rumours - perpetuated by fan hopes - that a stand-alone was on its way. But despite that, Hulk remained a ringer in the Avengers films, with suspicions that Marvel didn't quite know how to handle a lot of screen time for their big green monster gaining traction when it turned out his "best scene" had been cut from Avengers Age Of Ultron. In light of that, the decision to send him off to a secret hideaway of his own volition made it seem awfully like he was being pushed out of sight and out of mind. Now though, it feels like Marvel genuinely do have the big plans for Hulk that were used as an excuse for him not appearing in Captain America: Civil War. They're not just going to wait to bring him back for the climax of Infinity War, as some sort of Deus Ex Smashina that would rob the character of any real substance.
