10. Sakaar: Space Dump

There's very much a sense that Sakaar is going to be the MCU's equivalent of Mos Eisley. This "wretched hive of scum and villainy" might be a colourful, Fifth Element like world, but as history has surely told us, any civilization with gladiatorial games has an issue with class divide.

And according to Chris Hemsworth, Sakaar is very much a hive:

"[Sakaar is] basically where every wormhole across the universe dumps out its trash, so you get people from all walks of life with all sorts of incredible abilities and powers,"

In the comics, Sakar is a savage planet, full of extremes - in geography and weather - and it's sort of a catch-all for stranded alien races. In other words, it's not the sort of place you consciously go for a holiday, which makes the fact that Loki seems to have turned up there of his own accord an interesting diversion from the page.
