13. How Did Hulk Even Get To Sakaar?

At the end of Age Of Ultron, Hulk jumps a Quinjet and flies off to isolation, to save his friends and the public from his own danger. In Ragnarok, it's revealed that he ended up in the same Quinjet in space and all the way at Sakaar, where the Grand Master found him.

But this is all very confusing - in Ultron, Nick Fury tells Natasha Romanoff that the Quinjet landed near Fiji and mentions Hulk sending a postcard. But, clearly it didn't land anywhere if it ended up in space. So why the hell did Fury make that up?

Was this all written on the fly? And how would an autopiloted ship end up going not only to space but also to the far reaches where Sakaar is? Was he teleported through a wormhole? Would a little flashback to explain this not have been useful?
