Thor: Ragnarok Trailer - 9 Big Questions We're Left With

6. What Brings Hela Into Conflict With The Valkyrior?

We mentioned earlier that we should be seeing Hela's past in a flashback or prologue, but how much is this past tied in with Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie?

The trailer shows us a handful of riders atop winged horses, all converging on what seems to be Hela (if you squint you can make out the spiky headdress).

These riders look to be the Valkyrior, a group of female warriors who appear in Marvel comics, who are tasked, by Odin, with bringing the souls of dead heroes to Valhalla. The group is traditionally led by Valkyrie.

We then see that the Valkyrior are defeated, presumably at Hela's hands, as they fall from the sky in slow motion.

There are dozens of questions here, and chief among them; what brings the Valkyrior into conflict with Hela? Is this rocky, gloomy location actually Valhalla, and if it is, what is Hela doing here?

The slow motion and majesty of this scene seems to lend itself well to an extended prologue sequence, so will this also be intertwined with Hela's capture and imprisonment, or will we get two separate backstory scenes?

One thing we can draw from all this is that Valkyrie will surely want revenge on Hela, and this could be the common ground that brings her and Thor together.
