A Corpse in Kensington is a new horror comedy which revolves around three former classmates who are suspected of killing several of their fellow alumni in San Diego's neighbourhood of Kensington.

Mega64's Derrick Acosta leads the low-budget project, with Michael Madsen later joining the cast in a supporting role.

Madsen's presence alone tells you how long this film has been in post-production - he shot his part in the summer of 2024, before passing away in July 2025.

More than a year since Madsen's death, there's still little sign of the film's release - its Kickstarter page hasn't been updated since Madsen died, at which point the edit was said to be almost complete.

Even accepting that indie filmmaking tends to take a long time considering that crew members are often wearing multiple hats at once, the radio silence for over a year-plus is certainly concerning. Best of luck to them, though.
