20 Upcoming Horror Movies That Are Already DOOMED

10. World War Z 2

Despite its infamously chaotic production, which resulted in a large chunk of the third act being reshot, World War Z was a strong box office success in 2013, enough that a sequel was soon enough announced.

However, development stalled continuously over the following decade-plus.

David Fincher was confirmed to direct in 2017, before the project was cancelled in 2019, reportedly due to the Chinese market's restriction on films featuring zombies.

However, this summer Paramount announced the resurrection of World War Z 2, though didn't specify whether it would be a direct continuation of the original or a quasi-reboot.

Either way, the time for a World War Z sequel was clearly a decade ago - not now, when zombies have been so thoroughly run into the ground by the likes of The Walking Dead.

Honestly, a prestige TV series based on Max Brooks' source novel would probably make more sense, especially as the original film had so little to do with it.
