Walt Disney World's TRON Lightcycle/Run Review: 6 Things You Need To Know

2. The Ride Is Thrilling... But Not Too Thrilling

After you're secure on the lightcycle, you are launched off onto the track at speeds up to 59mph, making TRON Lightcycle/Run the fastest ride in any Disney park.

With the cycle seats the ride certainly does have a good amount of thrill, especially for those who haven't experienced anything bigger than Space Mountain. Yet, it isn't the biggest thrill ride in Walt Disney World.

Unlike Rock 'n' Roller Coaster over at Disney's Hollywood Studios, the new Magic Kingdom ride doesn't have any loops. Instead the track glides up and down and swoops through curves. It's a perfectly smooth coaster that could be the ideal step-up coaster for those in your group who want to experience their first step into bigger coasters.

The actual ride is split into two sections. The outdoor portion which you can see from the walk up to the attraction and the indoor portion. The indoor section is filled with lights and curvy banks. The ride's score fits in perfectly with the coaster.

TRON Lightcycle/Run truly comes to life at night, where the outdoor canopy is lit up by 1200 lights. With the Virtual Queue system you don't get to choose what time of day you will ride, though those who gain a boarding group at the 1pm slot will more likely snap a coverted night time ride.

We think the ride is the perfect thrill for Magic Kingdom.
