We Own the Night poster has the Twin Towers visible

weownthenightposter_thumbnail.jpgThis is interesting and something that I don't believe we have ever seen happen with a feature movie made after 9/11. The film We Own the Night which we posted the trailer for at the weekend has got itself a new poster and as you can see quite clearly see the Twin Towers are visible in the background of the New York skyline. This obviously means the movie must be set sometime before Sept. 2001. Is the addition of the towers then a gratuitous move by the studio, or is it so that we know that the film is based before 2001 and a message from them that we should remember the buildings and not just erase them from our cinema screens as if they didn't exist? Gratuitous or necessary that seems to be the question? If it's a big part of the film that it's set before 2001 then I can see the benefit but otherwise I'm not so sure. source - slash film, impa
