7. Did Steve Trevor Really Die?

The Question: Steve Trevor makes the ultimate sacrifice at the movie's climax, exploding along with a plane full of mustard gas in order to save the day. However, is he really, definitely dead?

The Likely Answer: Because it's a movie and we didn't physically see him die, it's always possible that he parachuted out of the plane at the last moment, only to re-appear in a flashback in Wonder Woman 2.

Also, some fans suspect he may be brought back as a second embodiment of Ares, though considering how silly both of these suggestions are, it seems more likely, sad as it is to say, that Steve is dead and not coming back.
