13. Patty Jenkins Wants To Do More

The good news is that if Wonder Woman goes well, Patty Jenkins would very much be up for some sequels. Asked whether there was anything she wished she could have done with the character that she couldn't do in an origin story, her answer seemed to suggest she already has plans for sequels...

"Hundreds of things. Many, many things I can’t wait to do with her. She’s got a lot of shades that I really, really like. I think whatever we get to do with her in the future, the great thing is that this is the way to start. This is the way to start, and then you give birth to a superhero that can go on to have all kinds of different shades and dimensions and the journey."

But when would a sequel be set? Would it immediately jump to the future, like Captain America's sequels? Or could we see more period stories? Apparently, the producers are so far leaving their options open. Let's hope they do go with the past option: we've all had enough modern comic book movies for a while.
