Wonder Woman Trailer Breakdown: 20 Things You Need To See
16. Yep, There's Cheesy Slow-Mo
It seems that Steve crashes on Themyscira just as a battle is breaking out between Nazi soldiers and the Amazons, and as one of Diana's Amazonian cohorts launches an arrow attack on the Nazi invaders, one manages to fire a well-placed shot that, it's implied, kills the Amazonian and has a profound effect on Diana's mindset.
This is all well and good, but the scene also features howlingly corny slow-motion, making the film instantly feel like it just came out of 1999, when everyone and their mother was struggling to come up with clever, post-Matrix ways to use the fascinating tech.
There's a ton of cornball slow-mo in the trailer, so it's safe to assume this may transpire through to the final movie as well...
