X-Men: Apocalypse - 10 Big Storylines That Should Come Next
5. Wolverine And The X-Men
Not necessarily a storyline, true, and more a general premise. Jason Aaron's Wolverine And The X-Men was another breath of fresh air. Yet another original take on the franchise after Grant Morrison's jackboot New X-Men and Joss Whedon's colourful Astonishing bunch, the series followed Logan's struggles to operate his own mutant school after Xavier moves on and Cyclops has run off to do his own thing. There's no shortage of big storylines in their, from the school coming under attack by a pre-teen Hellfire Club that counts a descendant of Doctor Frankenstein amongst its members to Wolverine taking fan-favourite rebellious student Quentin Quire to an intergalactic casino to raise funds for the school, but really its the tone and cast of characters that would work great. Wolverine And The X-Men effortlessly manages to flit between broad comedy especially with peaceful alien Brood student Broo and the sort of high-stakes drama that's more in the vein of Days Of Future Past than X-2. It would be a brighter, more silly sort of X-Men than the previous films. But wouldn't that be nice?
