5. The X-Men Outfits Look Rubbish

The X-Men movies have always struggled somewhat in their attempts to nail the costumes, and going by the latest trailer for the next chapter of the saga it's going to be the same old story. Not to bang on about The Hunger Games again, but don't the standard issue X-Men outfits depicted in the new trailer have a Hunger Games-esque feel to them? Compare what Jennifer Lawrence wore in Mockingjay to this and the parallels are painfully obvious. There are a few exceptions, of course: Olivia Munn looks fantastic as Psylocke, thanks to her wearing the most iconic version of her character's outfit - you know, to please the fans. She looks colourful and bold; like a comic book character. And there's no denying that Storm looks pretty cool, too. Still, there's definitely something off about the outfits: they look too much like costumes, perhaps, as if the cast just got together for a weekend paint-balling or something.
