X-Men: Apocalypse Trailer - 8 Major Revelations From Bryan Singer's Q&A

6. Havok's Return

It's a good job that these X-Men movies play fast and loose with the timeline, because Havok should technically be a man in his 40s by now! The last time we saw him, he was escaping Vietnam, and Singer explains that he's since been out in the world doing his own thing. However, there's a good reason that the hero has found himself back on the X-Men's radar, and that's because of his younger brother, Scott. We catch a glimpse of Cyclops losing control of his abilities in what look like a toilet stall (no doubt in his regular high school) in this trailer, but it turns out that he's in a worse way than expected when he's brought to Westchester. That's because according to the director, "he's completely blind, he can€™t even see," when he arrives. Between that and Scott's comments to Mystique about not having control, his story arc here will clearly be less about him becoming the leader we all know and love from the comics, and more about the young mutant coming to terms with his incredibly powerful and difficult to manage new abilities.
