X-Men: Days Of Future Past - 10 Questions The Movie Must Answer

6. Who Really Created Cerebro?

X Men Days Of Future Past Young Xavier Cerebro Given how important Cerebro has been to the franchise thus far, there is certainly a lot of confusion concerning its creation. In the first film, Cerebro is introduced as exclusively the brain child of Xavier, only for it to be revealed that Magneto helped him build it, thereby giving him the knowhow to create a helmet that blocks its reach. This appears to be corroborated by the ease with which Magneto reconfigures the machine to target humans as opposed to mutants in X2. Yet, in First Class, we see that not only did either Xavier or Magneto have exactly nothing to do with Cerebro's creation (that would be Beast), but also that it was built using government funding. This sort of makes Stryker's little excursion into the Mansion in X2 seem a bit superfluous, seeing as the blueprints are probably in some government file somewhere. Again, this may (hopefully) be addressed, as several stills of Singer's show the entryway to Cerebro.
