X-Men Movies: 7 Perfect Performances & 7 That Sucked
1. Vinnie Jones - Juggernaut/Cain Marko

Sometimes casting directors lose their minds and go for a stunt casting because of the infamous times when it paid off. Unfortunately, that sort of "bravery" - which essentially just involves casting the wrong people for the job and hoping they pull off a Heath Ledger - also backfires a lot more than it works. Which was the case when former footballer Vinnie Jones was cast in X-Men: The Last Stand.
Based solely on his reputation as a sporting "hard man," Jones carved a bit of a career for himself as an action star when roles required limited depth and lots of menace. Unfortunately, he's no more an actor than he is a footballer these days and it still feels like he was only ever cast because Cain Marko was Xavier's brother in the comics and that meant Brett Ratner could hire someone British. Presumably, everyone else in Britain was busy that day...?
Lumbered with a big foam body suit, Jones is clearly designed to be comic relief, but it's all just a horrible smudge on a film that might otherwise not be as roundly hated as it is. Thankfully, Ryan Reynolds played him in Deadpool 2 and made it all better. Again.
And now to the great ones...
