X-Men Movies: 7 Perfect Performances & 7 That Sucked

7 Perfect X-Men Performances

7. Kelsey Grammer - Beast

Though Nicholas Hoult has never been bad as Hank McCoy in his second generation appearance in more recent X-Men movies, he was never going to be a better candidate for the role than Kelsey Grammer.

The silver-tongued actor known for playing cerebral characters may have been introduced in The Last Stand, but such was his appeal that his performance was very briefly revived for Days Of Future Past. And that's particularly impressive when you consider how little he's actually on screen in Ratner's wayward threequel.

He perfectly combines surprising physical presence (he's always been a pretty big guy) with Beast's desired loquaciousness and intellectual wit. And it's just a shame we didn't get more of him.
