9. Which Cast Members Will Return?
Jennifer Lawrence told Entertainment Weekly that her, Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy have decided to stick together when it comes to renegotiating their X-Men contracts (which all lapsed after Apocalypse). "Fox should be terrified," she explained, "because the deal we made was like if one of us doesn’t come back, none of us are!" It was harsh of them to leave Nicholas Hoult out of that agreement, wan't it?
At this stage, it's unclear if that lot have signed on for Supernova or not. That would be one massive cheque for Fox to write, if they did. Luckily for Fox's finance team, getting the younger cast to return should be much easier, since their contracts probably aren't running out anytime soon.
Sophie Turner's Jean Grey is the hot tip to be centre of attention, with Evan Peters' Quicksilver, Tye Sheridan's Cyclops, Kodi Smit-McPhee's Nightcrawler, Alexandra Shipp's Storm and Ben Hardy's Angel seeming most likely to join her. There could even be room for Lana Condor's Jubilee and Olivia Munn's Psylocke.
As it stands, no one has publicly ruled themselves out or said they're definitely on board.
