2. Post-Credits Scene Teases Mister Sinister

The movie's post-credits scene returns to the now-abandoned Weapon X facility, where a mysterious group of suited individuals show up to hoover up all the bullets and cart off all the dead bodies lying around.

The scene ends with one of the men taking a vial of Wolverine's blood and placing it in a briefcase with other blood samples, before putting down the briefcase that reads "Essex Corp".

This is a not-so-subtle reference to Mister Sinister (aka Nathaniel Essex), an iconic comic book supervillain with crucial ties to both Jean Grey and Cyclops.

It's worth remembering that Bryan Singer also said that the post-credits tag would have major implications for both The Wolverine 3 and Gambit, so is Sinister perhaps being set up as the Thanos-like big bad of the Fox Marvel Cinematic Universe?
