X-Men Apocalypse: 11 Best Moments

1. Quicksilver Evacuates The X-Mansion

X-Men Apocalypse Quicksilver
Fox

Somewhat unsurprisingly, Quicksilver stole the show, just as he did in Days Of Future Past, with another gimmicky scene revolving around his incredible super-speed.

When Apocalypse triggers an explosion in the X-Mansion, Peter is tasked with quickly rescuing the students in a number of imaginative ways, such as simply grabbing them and parking them outside, throwing them out a window into the lake, or hurling them against a bed sheet safety net he's crudely constructed.

He even saves the mansion's fish by filling them up in a jug and giving them to a girl he rescues, and he still has time to stop and chug a Tab soda.

Oh, and there's the fact that this all plays out with Eurythmics' Sweet Dreams as our soundtrack, and Quickie even gets to rescue a pizza-loving dog. For all of the movie's problems, this is pure cinematic inspiration: magnificently shot, hilarious and tremendously entertaining.
