One of the biggest repercussions of resetting the series timeline is that Bryan Singer can now do his own, non-Ratnerised version of the Dark Phoenix Saga, something that has already been alluded to by the director himself. While it'd be very unlikely for it to get any proper exploration here (The Last Stand proved the arc needs a movie to itself), don't be surprised if we get some allusions to it, one of which could be this power freak-out here.
