7. Tom Hardy
LionsgateForget Jason Statham, Tom Hardy is the true British hard man. For anyone who has seen Warrior, Bronson or even the Dark Knight Rises, youll know that he takes his movie roles very seriously. Hed make a stellar squad leader in a military first-person shooter or even a steely-eyed, no-nonsense criminal. As an illegal moonshiner à la Lawless or as a hardened drug lord, Mr. Hardy could bring a huge degree of weight to any role given to him, and is one of the most versatile actors in the business right now. Who wouldn't love to see him take on a role similar to John Marston in Red Dead Redemption an ageing Old West criminal who lives in a changing world no longer concerned with outlaws not willing to conform. Hardy's no stranger to comedy either. This Means War and Inception both cast him in roles that shed him of his intimidating persona from grittier films, and while nobody wants him to pull a De Niro and submit entirely to comedy, there's no harm in playing the funny guy once in a while.
