10 Actors Who Should Be In The Witcher TV Series

Triss Merigold is a tricky character to handle. A potent sorceress who has unrequited romantic feelings toward Geralt, she can easily fall into the James Bond Problem mentioned in the Shani section. But she is integral to the series, so the show needs to overcome this by casting someone who feels like more than merely the third part of a token love triangle. And casting is a large part of keeping her from being stuck as Geralt & Yennefer's third wheel.

Bryce Dallas Howard has had a rough go of it lately. Her character in Jurassic World received a lot of flak for how she was written (and costumed - heels!). She also previously acted in Lady in the Water, which is another guilt by association kind of role. But she is a more than capable actress, and an excellent fit for Triss Merigold - pretty and occasionally lovestruck in a schoolgirl kind of way, but powerful and ready at a moment's notice to light things on fire.
