Some things are meant to be. Yennefer of Vengeberg is one of the most endearing characters from Sapkowki's work largely because of her refusal to conform to the sexist standards set by many fantasy books. Her on-and-off relationship with Geralt is endlessly fascinating, and she is never relegated to 'just the love interest'. To play this character, Netflix needs to cast an actress with incredible screen presence. They need to cast Eva Green.

Many of the other suggestions on this list are just that: suggestions. But this is one instance where the actress, the character, and the circumstances are so perfect nothing could go wrong with this (excepting perhaps Green's schedule). She has played many a fantasy role, from sorceresses to generals, and she always absolutely owns the screen whenever she's on it. Even in absolutely atrocious films like 300: Rise of an Empire, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, and Dark Shadows, she finds a way to deliver memorable performances that elevate the rubbish material she's given. If they find the right Geralt, they'd be the perfect TV fantasy power couple.
