10 Alternate Endings That Would Have Fixed Broken Video Games

1. Fallout 3

Fallout3 Hero1 Ah, Fallout 3. That beautiful nuclear wasteland, filled with so many memorable moments. Whether you're shooting the face of a super mutant or detonating an ancient nuclear bomb and wiping out a town, Fallout 3 was superb. Unfortunately, the same couldn't be said for its storyline, which was rubbish. Original Ending Either the Lone Wanderer (that's you) or another person must enter an irradiated chamber and sacrifice their life to activate Project Purity, which will cleanse water and make it fresh again. After inputting a code to activate the system, that character then dies, lovely water is released and the game ends. Alternate Ending In an open-world game, sacrificing the character's life at the end and not letting you continue was always going to be a silly decision. Thankfully this was fixed by the game developers themselves in the Broken Steel DLC pack, but the original ending meant the player had to start all over again and couldn't explore the Wasteland any more. The simple alternative for this ending would have been to ensure that the character survives the process in the original game and can continue a-wandering the Wasteland. Yeah, they sorted it, but what about all those who never bought the DLC? They missed out on so much, as Fallout 3 has so much to see and do. Alternate Alternate Ending A surviving band of new Ghouls who emerge from the ruins of Megaton hunt down the Lone Wanderer. After he/she emerges from the chamber having survived the radiation spike, they chop the wanderer down in cold blood, then set off a mini-nuke on his/her corpse. REVENGEANCE! Which game ending would you change if you had the chance? Let us know down below in the comments!
