10 Amazing Video Game Rewards Stupidly Locked Behind 100% Completion
5. Gaunter O'Dimm's Gifts - Witcher 3
The choice Geralt has to make in the Heart of Stone DLC might seem pretty difficult at first glance. Both Gaunter O’Dimm and Olgierd have good arguments for why you should side with them. However, if you were to look at their offers from a purely materialistic perspective, somehow the demonic genie comes up short.
When you finish the DLC on Gaunter's side, the demon lets you choose between four items: a cornucopia with infinite food, a carafe with infinite alcohol, 5,000 gold, and a saddle. Considering how useful food can be in a battle or how alcohol is used in most alchemical recipes in the game, the first two rewards should sound incredibly powerful, right? Well, sure, if you're still stuck in White Orchard, that is.
You see, the recommended level for starting Heart of Stone is 32, so by that time the player will already be close to the end of the game, and Geralt's pockets will be filled with a near-infinite supply of food and booze. Now, if these items were offered earlier in the game, they would easily become some of the best rewards you could get, but instead, they get outperformed by Geralt's hoarding addiction.
