10 Amazing Video Games That Didn't Deserve To Flop

7. Batman: The Telltale Series

We have no shortage of great Batman games these days. Whether it's the Arkham quadrilogy (yes, Origins rules), Gotham Knights or Lego Batman, fans of The Dark Knight have been eating well.

But one of the best titles starring The Caped Crusader was, unfathomably, a flop. Telltale's The Batman is maybe the only one of the bunch to really deliver on the idea of playing not only as a superhero, but as the human being underneath the mask. Splitting its time between crime fighting and navigating tricky political and personal dramas as Bruce Wayne, this game lived up to the promise of being the DC equivalent of Telltale's own The Walking Dead.

While you might think the popular DC Universe and the developer's beloved narrative-driven games joining forces would be an excuse to print money, Batman: The Telltale Series was a colossal sales disappointment, selling far below the studio's other games, including Game of Thrones, Tales from the Borderlands, The Wolf Among Us and Minecraft: Story mode.

It still received a second season... which sold even less despite keeping the quality high.
