Probably one of the better-known cancelled video games of recent years, a whole bunch of Star Wars titles were kicked to the curb once Disney took control of the franchise (along with the majority of the books, comics other things which made up the Expanded Universe, but the less said about that the better), including a third Battlefront title and a handful of other games LucasArts were working on. The biggest loss of all, however, seemed to be Star Wars 1313, a game which was reportedly going to take the world in a more dark, gritty direction as you controlled an anti-hero through the criminal underworld of futuristic planet-sized city Coruscant. Then we got word that you'd be playing as bounty hunter Boba Fett, and then it became the crime of the century. LucasArts had already attempted a bounty hunter game with, erm, Star Wars: Bounty Hunter on the PS2 and Xbox, where you played as Boba's dad Jango in a title set during the prequel trilogy. Like most things involving the prequels it was distinctly underwhelming, whileas 1313 was set around the time of the original films and so was immediately better off. All the screens we saw from the game looked promising, too, emphasising fast-paced, gadget and weapon-based combat using tools exclusive to bounty hunters rather than Force and lightsaber-based combat seen in most Star Wars games. Plus did we mention that you got to play as Boba freakin' Fett, almost certainly the coolest character in the whole franchise? Because you did. And that would've been totally awesome. Except we're never going to get to play it, which is far less awesome.
