10 Awesome Features In Truly Terrible Video Games

3. Jason Voorhees - Friday The 13th: The Game

Friday the 13th: The Game should have been great. A four vs. one player game where four players take the role of counsellors attempting to escape from the invincible Jason Voorhees is an excellent concept, but it's an idea that only Dead By Daylight has achieved.

This game is clunky, with boring and repetitive gameplay, hideous graphics, and bugs even after it was released in 2017. You can't even decide whether you want to be Jason or a counsellor; just pick your preference without any guarantee.

But you want to play as Jason, that makes the game worth it. With the Friday the 13th movies, we're always watching them just to see how Jason kills the next batch of hapless teenagers. Controlling Jason just feels right; he's an intimidating figure with a peculiar combination of physical and supernatural powers.

Stalking the other players, messing with them, playing a cat and mouse version of life or death; it all feels wonderful to do. Plus, if you catch another player, you can kill them in ridiculous ways, and that's awesome.

It would be better, though, if Jason was just added to Dead By Daylight.
