10 Awesome Glitches That Improved Video Games

1. Mega Man II - Pause As A Weapon

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUtnz-29Kg8 In the original Mega Man, there was a glitch that allowed you to wear down the enemy's temporary period of invincibility by pausing and unpausing the game in quick succession, as this period still counts down for a brief moment when the game is paused. This then allows the player to fire at the enemy and in a large percentage of cases, kill the enemy with one shot. It's a nice accidental addition to a notoriously difficult game, opening it up in the sense that this easier approach renders the game a lot more accessible to casual players. While they fixed this for Mega Man II, they unwittingly forgot about another glitch; whenever the game is paused and unpaused, Mega Man is given temporary invincibility for a split-second, meaning that enemy bullets cannot kill you. Stuck in a bind? Just whack the pause button before a bullet is about to hit you, and then you have nothing to worry about whatsoever. Though perhaps not quite as advantageous as the first game's glitch, executing the glitch is nevertheless a fun timing mini-game in of itself, and like the first game, will have more players giving the game a crack. Are there any other glitches you've encountered that make the experience a more enjoyable one? Let us know in the comments below.
