10 Awesome Sega Mega Drive Games You've Never Played

10. Gargoyles

On something of a hot streak during the mid-nineties with Aladdin and The Lion King, Disney Interactive turned their attentions to a little-known franchise when coming up with their next big gaming adventure. Based on the TV show of the same name, Gargoyles was a stone cold platformer that boasted smart side-scrolling action, with some gothic twists thrown into the mix; cel-shaded animation, a powerful protagonist and altering difficulty amid some striking locations - all making it worthy of a place on this list. Disney games of this era were always an event, yet almost a year after Goliath and his grim adventure swooped onto shelves, attentions were already diverted to the likes of Toy Story, which marked a big step in graphical innovation on the console and what the Mouse House was capable of on the whole. But make no mistake, Gargoyles still stands as an adaptation that deserves to be recognised up there with the greats.
