4. Headphone Jack In Cabinets - Beatmania

Shadow Of Mordor Nemesis System
Konami

This might seem like a weird option to include on this list, but does anyone remember playing games in the arcade? Remember how loud it could be sometimes, even on a slow day with all of the other games around running their various 'come play me' attention-grabbing demos.

Beatmania is a rhythm game like Dance Dance Revolution, Guitar Hero, and Rock Band. But in Beatmania you're more scratching records like a DJ, than playing plastic guitars. Beatmania 2 and 3 had a neat feature in their arcade cabinets where a player could plug in headphones to play. This is fantastic for rhythm games in an arcade where music or sound cues are so important for actually playing the game.

Arcades, even dead ones, can be super loud and have all kinds of random noise to them. Being able to sync up wirelessly in the modern era would be even cooler. Just have a Wi-Fi code for the cabinet for players to connect their headphones to. You could even sync to it and listen to other people play while you were playing something else, if you're into that.
