2. Squirtle
Now Squirtle was my first Pokemon from when I was a kid and will always be my favourite to the point that I would try and go through the whole game without letting it evolve. It's just too cute to grow up. This water pokemon is a good starting point for a first timer as it quickly grown strong and learns a varied amount of moves. As long as the level is high enough this little pokemon can take on anything, even grass pokemon and besides, I always thought that the water Pokemon were the best anyway.
